gosh.i learn something new everyday.my "new thing" i learn today is this:Light is the visible portion of the electro-magnetic spectrum. The colour spectrum starts from violet, the weakest of rays, all the way to red which is the strongest of rays. NO WONDER it is easy to get those pretty sunsets but not a purple coloured fabric!cuz i know everytime i try to take a purple coloured object with a not so good camera, it will turn out to be like, blue or something.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and i was pretty pissed that i can't get whatever i see in real life come out the same way in prints or photos taken.like for example, the lighting isn't good enough, the colour isn't exactly accurate, etc.what i see is not what i get.now i've found the reasoning.Because your eyes constantly make everything APPEAR normal you now need to learn how the film and lenses record light, scenes and color and then, how it renders those factors on film and print. Few of us realize how powerful the mind is in blocking out what we don’t want to see AND how well it can correct bad lighting.talk about being tricked by our naked eyes.gosh, i can't believe i actually went online to search for all these information and had to read all the boring long-winded notes they provide.
but thanks, all the same. (:
