RAHHHHH

busy packing.

SO MANY THINGS!

compress, unload, repack!

had been trying to find space for some stuffs. i think i'll have to buy a duffel bag to bag the things i buy there.

so many things happened recently! been such a rush. all i can say is that i don't know what to do. how to reject nicely without much hurt but i guess there's no such thing. oh well.

i saw this gorgeous pair of shoe! DAMN. the price is humongous too. a guy friend of mine asked me once,"why are u so crazy about shoes and perfume?" well, they are shoes and perfume. i'm a girl. you do the math.

yesterday was my very last day in Regent. took many photos! hahaha! gona miss them and my Raffles Clique! BOO. we went to the German's Ambassador's house. SUPER BIG LO! wow wow! the place where we set everything up is on the ground level. they have another hall, another kitchen, so many other toilets and rooms upstairs! there's a swimming pool as big as Jess's.

OMG, let me tell u, the guest toilet is like hotel toilet man. its so clean and nice. face towel, hand towel, tissue paper, all's there. even more unique was that there's that thing that guys can pee in. i don't know what its called but yeah. at first i was so shock when i saw that. i thought it was the only thing that i can use. after that, i opened another door and i found a toilet bowl! haha. alright alright. enough of that toilet business.

one of his daughter came down to suntan while we worked. the guys gawked at her in her bikini while we girls continued working. haha. everything was really nice, expect for the fact that there are SO MANY MOSQUITOES! MOSQUITO INVASION! i was scratching like crazy. after setting up everything, we had 2 hour break. Si Li and i went to one of the maid's room and watch "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days". Really nice click flick. haha. a hilarious one too.

after slacking for 2 hours, we got back to work. ok, Rah rah rah, the night was really nice. grand with the lovely lightings. we had a special appearance of Vabarien's [is there such a country or state? i'm not sure if it's spelt like this but it sounds like "barbarian".] Prime Minister. there was a small uncle who look like O-Bi-one Ka-No-Be from Star Wars. haha. he taught me how to pour the beer in style such that there's a lot of foam on top. Many ministers were there. Even Jack Neo was there.

we girls had to stand at the door to usher the guests with drinks. last night's beverage menu was all alcoholic. the only non-alcoholic drink was mineral water. haha. at the back, i downed one glass of white wine and a glass of red wine. the red wine and beer are all from German. i tried a little beer and it was so much nicer than Tiger Beer! the red wine has more kick to it too. but all these were not a really clever move cause after awhile, i got kinda drunk. so i kinda walked around dizzily. luckily, i wasn't VERY drunk or anything so only Ding Jie noticed. thank goodness. anyway, the point is, if u want to drink, i'll recommend German's Beer. i have to warn you about the price beforehand too yeah. haha.

after that, when the guests were all gone, we had to dismantle everything. best thing was that we get to eat the delicious leftovers! haha. chocolate fondue is damn nice. haha. yummy-licious food! yayness. haha. Another daughter of the German Ambassador came down to have some leftovers too. her name is Cora and she is really pretty. with clear blue eyes, blond head and petite build. she's really friendly, we made friends and i find she's nice. took many photos as it was my last day. we had to go off when the whole job was done. i ran back to the kitchen to hug both of the maids and Cora before joining my workmates in the foyer. Guess what? Author and Helmi did not bring enough cash to cab us back to the hotel! the guys had to hitch a ride in the lorry! they look like caged up animals being transported to some Zoo. hahaha. so we girls accompanied by Helmi and Author had to walk back to Regent. Thank Goodness its in Nassim Road and Regent is just a few blocks away. haha.

it was really fun walking back in the night. we linked hands and talked, joked and did stupid things. =) i saw this building that is called Nassim Jade and the words are very nicely decorated. thought of capturing the word "Jade" to give Jade but too bad, i didn't bring along my HP. haha. Zhang Li wanted me to piggy-back her so i tried to. it was damn comical cause i was straggling to hold her legs but couldn't as she was wearing skirt! haha.

ok, my mum just dragged me to watch Rain's concert on the TV. not really interested. sorry ah, but i don't think he's not all that great. all i know is that his dancing is not bad. but can never be compared to how smooth JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's moves are. AHHH! hahaha. i have to blame jess and Michelle for my starstruck-ness. hahaha. maybe for bonus, Justin Timberlake is an ah mo. hahaha! oh, speaking of which, i remembered talking to my friend Palani but that cute ah mo guy who we catered to at Cascauden Estate. he's still studying in Singapore American School. he suddenly told me don't think too much about ah mos cause Asian can't meet Ah mo's match in bed. so out of topic la! so off track!

NYP?

good?

not sure. not really looking forward to going to NYP.

went there with Andy so that he can submit his appeal. after which, we head down to Yio Chu Kang's Sports Hall to play BADMINTON!

haha! been AGES, YEARS, DECADES since i last touched my racket. thank goodness still can hit some shuttles, thou not the same as the past. haha. but it was fun. played pushing with him can laugh until stomach ache. Smashing feels real good, only tired. ok, rah rah rah. went to Toa Payoh to meet Aloy and Sean to play pool. before that, we went to Cheers to buy cup noodles as our tummy were really growling. while the MRT went through tunnels, we would make stupid faces at our reflection. haha! funny. it was really stupid cuz we stayed in Toa Payoh for awhile before changing plans and head down to Cathy for dinner. wasted my money due to travelling here and there! gah.

went to this restaurant to eat. its like Yoshinoya and Xi Men combined. Andy accidentally bought an extra bowl of terriyaki with rice so we were REALLY VERY FULL. went to Raider to play and the place can never be compared to Pool Fusion. no music, only loud noise from the computer accede nearby. there's this very cute small malay boy who kept coming to find me! his name is Haziq and Sean went to ask if i can be Haziq's Godmother. made me so paiseh! in the end, his young auntie invited me up to the salon her sister owns to relax and talk. seems like nice people. =)

blahblahblah. i watched "Music and Lyrics" on Sean's Creative MP3. NICE SHOW! got so engrossed! hee.

ok, gotta go and sleep now. tmr working in Regent for the last time. i heard it's an outside catering in German House.

My dad made some changes so now, i'm alying to China to see some beautiful sceneries which he claims that i would never forget and sleeping in 5 star hotels. this came with the promise to let me go overseas with my friends at the end of the year. most likely Hong Kong with Jade them girls and US with Jess them clique! i can go to either one of the Disneyland! WHOOHOO! but for now, let's just wait for the day to come. haha.

Whoever invented the "pack 2 tops for each day" travelling rule should be shot dead on the grounds of err causing unnecessary stress. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good rule. But at least introduce a follow-up lesson on how to fit everything into your suitcase!

I am grossly under-packed and over-packed. At the same time. 9 days away means at least 18 tops, 4 bottoms, loads of underwear plus some other essential stuffs. 9 days in China during autumn [its still cold there, considering the fact that it will remain like, 9 degree C] means at least 18 long sleeves, 4 pairs of pants, loads of underwear and some other essential stuffs. I don't have 18 long sleeves. I don't have 4 pairs of jeans. I have the underwear. all this have to fit in with the other stuffs and there's like hardly any more space. I had the hardest time ever attempting to zip up the suitcase after putting my down jacket in, simply because I don't want to carry it. And suddenly my shampoo seems way bulkier and heavier than the last time (I don't like using hotel shampoo/soap/conditioner - who does?!). Thank God I'm not on my period. I don't see how it's possible to stuff a bag of pads in when I can't fit in packets of tissue. Unpacking, rearranging, repacking, compressing and squishing is tiring work!

I keep feeling like I forgot stuff and I think I'm missing loads!! Well, that's ok. I hope I'm missing clothes so I can get more there! I must remember to buy Fantasy [Britney's perfume] at the airport (duty free), Krispy Kreme (raspberry, custard, sugar, no chocolate) for Jess and other people, clothes for others. Yadda Yadda Yadda.

went shopping with Hazel, Jess, Ambrose, Josh and Adam today! haha! i spend a bomb! FINALLY bought my GUESS perfume! my gosh. it was like love at first sight. and SMELL too, in this case! yayness! got some ZARA and other brand clothes, Clarins Facial Cleanser and this Kiwi face mask. i swear it made my skin feel so much better. hahaha. there's nothing like pampering yourself after working for so long! [not that i am not enjoying at work, but still..] ok, Yadda yadda yadda, rah rah rah, blablabla.

went to Island Creamery with them funky bunnies. haha. we were really psychotic in there. haha! slacked for about 3 hours before josh sent me home. brought him up to my home and it was so weird that my parents didn't really question much about Josh. anyway, went to do the Kiwi face mask with him. yes, i applied the mask for him and no, he's NOT a sissy, please. i forced him to do it, alright? haha. and its ok for a guy to do all these. it just shows that he loves his skin. METRO SEXUALITY! it was really funny! hahaha! we didn't look like Green Greasy Skinned Monsters or anything cause the mask is transparent. watched "Love Wrecked" rerun and i used the computer for awhile while waiting for the mask to dry up. my parents were like acting kinda weird, they went to their room, close the door and watch TV. they treated Josh really nice and this is like, the FIRST time they treat my guy friend this good! HMM. parents up to something. i can just smell it.

i bought a dress.

yes, my first dress - in my teens years.

okok, so maybe it wasn't my first dress, considering the fact that i had to get one for my prom night. but whatever it is, i'm happy. hahaha!

went to meet Aloy after work. while he was on his way down to town, i went to Forum. Damn, the things there are nice. D&G outlets showcase gorgeous bags and shoes and all the other shops that people with deep pockets go into. the prices can get ur eyebrows go heavenward man. it comes in hundreds.

went to Zara and found this very adorable tee-shirt that comes in 3 designs. haha. something like what me and the girls bought. ok, rah rah rah, aloy waited for me outside Zara and off we went to find Hidayah cuz we thought she was still working on Taka. went to this restaurant to eat. can't remember its name. haha. rah rah rah.

on the way back, we went to "WH" and there are so many clothes i like! most of them are for beach wear. we went to "Hugs" and i tried on this purple dress and a green sun dress. after much psycho-ing from aloy, i bought the sun dress! =)

Aloy! remember ur promise ok?! hahaha! on that day, me u, her and him go to "Dan Ryan" or some posh restaurant to eat OK?! hahaha! then i can wear the dress and heels. =) and to think that we thought about the same thing about each other on the first day of RG but can't get ourself to talk to each other. haha. what a funny coincidence.

ok, i'm going to sleep now. i had only 2 hours of sleep last night and today i've been running on burnt-out batteries. i had to go to the toilet and sneak a short 5mins nap for like, 3 times today. luckily Bruce told me stupid jokes to keep me awake. i was standing outside the meeting room today and i dozed off while standing for about 5 times. Bruce saw and he told me about his friend who sleep while standing in the bus. He is more li hai. while Bruce's friend is replenishing the Coffee Break table, he would doze off but he'll continue doing his task! even with eyes closed, he knows where's everything - something like sleepwalking. cool huh. Bruce even told me another story about his friend.

hiyoo! keep addressing him as Bruce's friend is tiring. shall name him B. so B used to work in Capers and its a buffet dining area. manager was talking to a guest.

guest: may i have my coffee strong?

manager: sure, sir.

B walked pass and gesture that he will get that coffee order. guess what B brought back to the table? a cup of coffee with straw. apparently, he mistook strong with straw. the manager wanted to scold him but couldn't cuz he and the guest couldn't hold back their laughter. haha. poor guy. oh well, at least he didn't get screwed by the manager. haha

and here's another miscommunication.

captain : Germaine, go collect the face towel now. [i heard : Germaine, go face the wall now]

Me : huh? sir, why face the walls?

captain : haha. no, i said go collect face towels from The Bar.. not face the walls. haha.

few days ago, I woke up at 8am and couldn't go back to sleep! Called Hazel at 9.15am but she was still asleep! Bus down to Hazel's place then went down to Holland V. Was 30 minutes late. We did Ruth's make up quickly for her job interview then went to Starbucks while Josh sent her to Swissotel. I got my iced vanilla latte and Hazel got her iced hot chocolate. I swear the iced vanilla latte made my throat hurt less! Then we went to Serene Centre to return videos and rent new ones. Hazel walked in and out of MacDonald's trying to look for a toilet so she could hottify herself before walking into Rida. Then we went to Island Creamery and Hazel got her brandied cherry ice cream. They came over to my house and we had mashed potatos for lunch with roast chicken and broccoli and cauliflower. We went to my room and Hazel took loads of songs from my computer and resized photos while I taught Jeremy the basics of make up (he asked!). He went home then Hazel and I watched Dirty Dancing Havana Nights.

I promised Josh that I would help his friend, Ruth, do her make up for her interview. Gosh that's quite scary. I'm as good as a stranger to her and she's trusting me with her face. I wouldn't trust myself to do that if I wasn't myself and I was a stranger to me! Plus the fact that when I wake up, my throat hurts like shit and it only gets a little better towards the afternoon so I'll barely be able to talk (Imagine my phone deprivation!!). Thank God that Hazel is coming along so she'll be able to scream "STOP!!!" if I do something really wrong and then she can help me fix it. Let's hope we'll be able to communicate telepathically (is that a word?) so I won't need to talk.

ok, i'd better go sleep now. tmr working in BBR. X)

my craziness was brought to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL just now.

yesterday went to Medical Check-up in SATA with bibi and Hanyi.

the place is CRAZY. the queue number is so fast moving but the pace of the queue was a whole different story.

the day before, Joanna, han yi, bibi and i went to SATA, only to find that we can't get a queue number cuz the place is already jam-packed by afternoon. so Han yi and bibi went there REAL EARLY yesterday to get a queue number while i was snoring away at home. haha. even before the door open, a huge crowd had already gathered outside. this meant that within 5 mins, the queue number shot up to 100 plus. Bibi : 117 Me : 118 Hanyi : 119

Bibi and i had to get out HB shot bcoz of our course. oh, i realise i had not tell any of u what course i got into. i got into nursing. yes, i know some ppl will be thinking: what? with ur ten plus points, u're wasted in nursing. but what to do? my dad wants me to study in that course as my future will look bright if i take up a diploma in that and will be followed by a bachelor degree in nursing too. my own plans were changed cuz of this but i guess i just go for it and see how it goes. there's some pros and cons. the pros are obvious. the cons are that i get freaked out by internal body contents and there are SO MANY kinds of illness in the world. i've to remember all the names, the causes and the treatments. furthermore, i'm not DA CHANG JING. oh well.

ps : thanks to those ppl who SMSed their encouragement and concerns on my check-up. =) feel real touched.

after the whole check-up which took up 4 hours of our time, i brought them back to my house for a movie. "bring it on-all or nothing"

we went camera crazy a little.

oh, i saw a very unique tree!

see? like what bibi said, it has tumour. oh, u poor tree.

a few days ago, bibi, Heng Leng and i went to watch "Just follow Law". its so corny la! hahaha. but its funny. after eating in long john, we juggle with the idea of either going to Heng Leng's house to watch "American Pie" and going to KTV in Katong. finally we toss aside the former idea and went ahead with the latter.

-have to dance near a pillar [me and bibi made up the silly dance steps. haha]
-go in between 2 tables which are still occupied by ppl and shake head like an indian

Me :
- go to a table and clear some empty plates when the customers are still there. [and it was supposed to be my OFF DAY.]
-go to the table occupied by 4 Caucasians and perform for them a trick. [this was the worst cuz it was so embarrassing and i kept laughing. so embarrassed that i throw a grape at my friends. thank goodness the ah mos are very onS so they played along too.]

haha! it was really crazy. we laughed like mad, made so much noise. but in the name of celebration, we had fun, joy and laughter. =)

finally went cycling, though only jade and i cycled.

went home with Jade, bibi and Hanyi. i brought them to the wrong exit yet AGAIN. hahaha.

thank you Joanna for the things u gave us. =) such a sweet gesture, though it was all belated Christmas and Valentine's Day presents. haha.

Fito running to me with the presents. =) so cute! hahaha.

My boy during dinnertime. X) he's going to grow up into a handsome hunk in the future. =)

Jade came over to watch movie the day before. what was meat to be a few hours of movie became a night stay in my house. yay yay!

ok, Rah rah rah, we did Joanna's card, did our nails [in the end, we didn't have manicured nails cuz we kept undoing it. haha.], played some primary school hand games [hahaha. we had nothing else to do.] and PILLOW FIGHT! hahaha. that was fun. it was like midnight and my parents are in their room trying to sleep and there we are, in the room, laughing like a couple of nutcase. hahaha.

"I love walking in the rain because no one will know that i'm crying."

this is just a common phrase u would see nowadays but after rolling it around in my mind, i realise how true it is. but then of course, rain gives us a happy feeling at other times. someone told me before that crying is good, at times; it is a form of healing of the heart. hmmm... people also have said that rain are tears of heaven's; or is it God's blessing for us?

i need to learn how to look at things from heaven's point of view.in everyone's life, there's always be ups and downs. my 'ugly picture' would be when i'm at my down period. when my 'ugly picture' is put alongside everyone else's pictures, what a grand collage; and beyond. but when you master the habit of looking at things from the other party's perspective, that's when confusion sets in; and disparity.

but i prefer heaven's idea of the 'bigger, complete picture' rather than my 'microscopic skeptical picture'. because then i know that what i do is imptance and value. with a simple action of mine, i might have made a stroke across my picture. it might not make any sense with it alone.but when God put my picture against the rest's, that stroke might have meant to be a part of the rainbow. i can't help but smile at that.

last night worked in Raffles again and went home with Lydia and Preeti. the whole time, we were talking and joking about work. i was so engrossed in the conversation that when i reached Kembangan, i didn't realise it so i decided to drop off at Bedok instead. stupid thing was i got myself into the flow of the conversation again that Preeti had to cut me short by saying, "Germaine! Bedok!" haha. which bring me back to the times when i was in the MRT with bibi, Jade and Cyn. whenever the train had arrived in Kembangan, i would sometimes look at the "Kembangan" sign, point to it and go, "oh, Kembangan." but i didn't alight. happened like 3 times already so i alighted at Bedok instead. blahh. haha.

yay! went to meet Poo siang in the bungalow area after work. felt like meeting a long lost friend. there were 2 drunkass at the playground when we sat on the swing. thank god nothing happened. haha. poor poo siang. after he walked me home, i gave him a challenge to run back home. he took 10 mins and the distance was about 2 km. haha. good job, poo poo.

yesterday was in a fit cuz of someone. excuse me, but i'm gona rant, so don't mind me.

so what if u're captain now? u didn't do anything to deserve it. when other people are slogging hard to please the guests and doing our job, u go play with small kids. i was standing so far away from ur station and u summoned me so ok, fine. i went to u. what did u ask for? "Germaine, can u give that guy forks and spoon?" and u know what's funny? the station is RIGHT NEXT to u, u could have just stick out ur hand and take a fork and a spoon for the guest right? don't u have limbs? what happened to them? so now u're physically incapable just cuz u are promoted as captain? wow, nice promotion. all u do is nag and scold and boss ppl around. when i asked u why u can't get it urself, the things u said was so sickening : "why do i need so many staff if i can do this all by myself?" damn u, i don't work FOR u, i HELP u. and Pei Zhen was supposed to be ur station partner, not ur SLAVE. do u know that she actually cried cuz of u? u know what i should have shot back at u? "why do u think Reto, Damien and Karnan paid u for? to boss us around?" when its time to present a Birthday cake to a guest, u're so quick to steal the limelight. all u do is to play with small kids and flirt with big boobie ladies. don't think i don't know what u're thinking but i'm telling u, not a chance, fella. remember the Finland event? the guests were dancing ballroom right? what did u do? ask me to go into the cigar divan with u and u closed the door and asked me to dance with u? i said don't want and we should be outside doing service instead of being in here and u remember what u said? "there are many staff doing service for us." what kinda captain ARE U? i told u i'm not in the mood and u gave me a black face. wth. what's worse, u perv, u asked me once to watch a porn video with u. damn u, sicko. don't ever get all touch-y on me again or i'll swear u'll be sorry. don't worry, i've heard all about u and ur filthy hands from the girls so just lay off. and no, i will not help u be together with Shelia even if u screw me upside down at work cuz i don't think u deserve her. she has already given u a brush-off so give it a rest. if u ever read this entry, good for u cuz now u know how i feel about u.

i've finally trim my hair and highlighted it. yes shern, finally. haha.

it was crazy cuz me nd jade were rushing to the saloon near cyn's house. all the way from bugis. the hairdressers were about to close when we rushed in. haha. the whole process was funny cuz we sort of lost our way and we had to flag down a taxi.

me and jade : [got into the taxi] uncle, can u drive us to..[stating cyn's house]

uncle : [a little confused] huh? its just around the corner.

oh man. when he said that, me and jade just looked at each other and started laughing. wth! and we thought we were LOST.

so blablabla. had my hair done and the poor hairdresser had to OT 1 hour and 30 mins.

we went to eat dinner after that and i did something stupid.

i gave my food order to a uncle, thinking that he's working there. he just look at me,a little blur and it suddenly occurred to me that he is a customer. so i turned around and told jade and cyn, "oh shit. i just told a customer my order." after that incident, the 3 of us can't help laughing non-stop. can't believe i was so blur la! haha. jade and cyn were also going on and on about some cent joke.

ahhh. yesterday was intending to go to Aloy's gig, go out with victor, or bryan, or jess and the girls. but after some reasons and change of plans here and there, i ended up watching movie in Jade's house with bibi. bibi and her "chalet". haha.

we watched "Notebook" and its REALLY touching! my gosh. SO WORTH WATCHING. i totally recommend u guys to watch this. the love between Noah and Allie are SO DAMN STRONG. even after all the difficult times and all those fighting, they still love each other. and the most touching part was when both of them grew old, allie had [lao ren chi dai zen, can't remember the english word for it. =X] and Noah stayed in the old folks home so that he can be with her. he read the story of their past to her every single day so that she can regain the memories for their past. GAHH. and they died together on the same bed, the same night. sigh, this kinda love seem to extinct in this world of ours. they are each other's first love too.

during the sob movie, 3 of us ordered pizza. YUM YUM. =)

bump into Matt when i was walking home. Matt, what a coincidence. haha. nice seeing u again. =)
