i just watched "Human Body : pushing to the limits" in Discovery Channel.it talked about the eyes and how amazing they are.
i have never thought that the human eyes were this awesome with many functions.
they started showing someone who lost her eyes and regaining her eye sight with a newly discovered device.it sends light informations of the surrounding from a camera in a pair of sunglasses into the brain.
meaning that they will drill a tunnel through the brain and install 2 platelets into the middle.
so it seems like she has became a robot.
she is not seeing things like how we do but as white spots or lines.well, at least she can see what is around her.
it must've felt awful to be blind as a bat.
but i dislike it when they said that "maybe in the future, we will not even need our eyes."
why, u ask?
because God has blessed us with such a precious thing and if we misused it and were to be overpowered by technology in the future, it will be very depressing.the eyes are also something which we have taken granted for many times.sigh.
anyway, today i talked to one of my patient.we call him uncle ___or Father ___ and he is from England.
he is someone important in church.
is it a bishop?
a position higher than pastors.
he knows a bishop in KY church too. (:
he has a very bad short term memory now.when he woke up this morning, he was asking me if i was bringing him to a show.he loves going for theatre shows in esplanade.
he completely forgot that he fell down and fractured his hips and his grandson sent him to the hospital.
he kept saying that he has lost his grandson and asked me to track him down.
he thought that he is like, 61-70 years old when he is actually 98 years old already.
when his friend came to see him, i was told that he is a maths genius.Uncle ___ was asked a maths question which include the pie of 3 and within a sec, he said a whole load of numbers which is the correct answer!!he used to go to colleges and poor countries to teach and preach.
it is really a waste that he has reached such a fragile age.but i'm sure God will be with him forever.
me: hello uncle roy. how are u today?him: i'm fine, thank you. *smiles* i've prayed to God a minute ago.
me: oh really? that's great! what did u tell him about?him: *hesitates* i don't tell people what i pray about.me: haha. but its good u're talking to God. (:
