Just came home from Parkway!met up with Carolyn in Tampines Mall. Happy Happy! X)Psalms 27:14 -Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,and he shall strengthen thine heart:wait, I say, on the LORD.As I washed my feet..ah~ the cool watermy ten little pink toes tell me thatI had a long hard day.men say the sweetest and most loving of words amidst the calmness of the sea.but when the tide takes a turn for the worst, all that is left are bitter and cruel words that spite the fragile human heart.the happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. they just make the best of everything. - thanks for teaching me this and thanks for being around.many people think that the two are very similar many ways. and that the two are only separated by a thin boundary.but i beg to differ.INFATUATIONdictionary says: a short lived passion for an extravagant object.what this means : this time, the dictionary hit the jackpot, alright. infatuations never last. well, maybe a month or two. maybe five or six but never more than a year. infatuations are short lived feelings that just are so random. just hits you in the head when you least expect it.ok, i shall go about this as though i am a guy.just picture yourself sitting on a bench at the bus stop. next thing you know, you see a "hot" girl pass you by and she sits on the same bench as you. you feel an indescribable feeling. bus pulls over, you BOTH get on the same bus. she sits next to you again. after awhile she alights, and you say to yourself: "dang, should have gotten her number..."next day you see her again. same routine and all again. this time, she drops her books in the bus. and you, being the "kind" soul you are, pick them up for her. then you strike up a conversation, and the both of you start to talk like two old friends lost in time when you've barely known her for only like, say...50 mins? conversation goes on well until, like all good things, comes to end.you manage to get her number this time and you're overjoyed. you immediately send her a SMS, and she replies instantly. you feel high. a few weeks have past. and after meetings on the bus, phone calls and a thousand SMSes, you finally decide that she's the one. and you ask her out and all. then she requests that you meet her after school everyday. you think it's fine because your school kinda near hers. so you meet her everyday, have lunch with her and all. she insists that you HAVE to meet her EVERYDAY, if not you're UNFAITHFUL. so you do just that, even despite your hectic schedule. after about two months, you feel like calling it quits. she's way too demanding and your grades are slipping. you call her up, tell her how you feel. she tells you that you're insensitive $#@! that doesn't care about her feelings. you argue and fight, and the matter gets blown out of proportion.you send her a emotionless sms to tell her that you're sorry. and then you move on with life.my take: infatuations are insecure. both parties feel so insecure that they start to make lame and demanding demands for their boy/girlfriend. and this often leads lead to the inevitable conclusion of pre-marital sex. this is going to sound crude and offensive but yeah, think about it. there's so much more a couple can do with their clothes on then without. a walk in the park, a friendly chat over the phone, meet up somewhere and share your troubles, have dinner together, go to church and all together, and the list goes on...LOVEdictionary says: an affectionate concern for another personwhat this means: hoho. love, as we all know, is one of the most undefinable words that man has ever created. what is love? who knows for sure which definition is appropriate and best describes love. who can clearly define what love is for that matter. and so the dictionary did a bad job on this one. as far as i know, love is far more "real" as compared to infatuations. love can last forever, and usually does. some people labels it as True Love.my take: love is like, caring for someone even though they don't know it or don't appreciate it. being the listening ear to the person you care for. talking on the phone to let her/him pour out their bottled up feelings and sorrow. sending a simple and encouraging sms to brighten up her/his day. sending over a pack of Strepsils for her/his bad sore throat. If he/she has a fever, you will get all worked up and wish that you were there with him/her instead of being stuck somewhere, say, home. it is in this simple and thoughtful gestures that we show love for the people around us, although they often don't notice or know it.love is about trust. and that's how some people manage to maintain long distance relationships. love doesn't come with terms and conditions.it's all about signing a mutual agreement that never existed in physical form.it's about working out a compromise. to go on with your lives and still have each other to rely on.love is so simple and so complicated at times. too many words left unsaid; harsh words and lies were told instead.people like myself, have this inability to express their feelings to the other person and start to say or do stupid stuff, or in certain cases, both. some flare up, others break down. and others just stand there like a fool and watch love pass her/him by.well, i think that's just me or something la...a total idiot. i found it, but...bahh. nvm. i feel so so so so so so STUPID, period.
